Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 10
Most embarrassing moment.
An already insecure Jr. High school girl, me, at home a few blocks from the beach. Older brother has a big birthday party with a bunch of guys. Not one other girl. We all walk down to the beach for a few hours. We come back sandy and dripping, naturally.
I go into my room to change. Now this room, which does not have a lock on the door, just happens to be the only way for my brother’s to get through to their room in the garage. I put a big sign on the door: ‘CHANGING, STAY OUT!’
Just as I manage to pry the wet swimsuit off my body, standing there naked, the door bursts open. A train of obnoxious, loud, nerdy high school boys, one after another, tromps through the room, right past me. Some not even noticing that I’m crouched down on the floor, screaming and crying at them to get out, while trying to use my shriveled up bathing suit to unsuccessfully cover my whole body. My towel is too far out of reach. Others notice, turn beat red and proceed through the outside door as quickly as possible. And guess what, no one bothers to close either door.
No, not a bad dream. This was worse. Way worse, because it really happened!
Can you beat that? If so, I’d love to hear your most embarrassing story!
