I haven’t been posting as often the past couple weeks. Why? Because I have taken a step back to consider my purpose for this blog and my goals for 2016. I have also been studiously pouring over any and all information I can get my hands on to learn how to attain those lofty goals. I’ve been busy watching webinars and reading the book Influencer Marketing for Dummies, which was provided to me by Clever Girls for sharing about it. It couldn’t have come at a more opportune time!
Why is this a must have book for your business?
Influencer Marketing for Dummies is aimed at Brands who are searching for Influencers to help their business grow. It’s helpful for me as an influencer to know what Brands are looking for so I can be that influencer they are seeking and stand out in the crowd.
There is a ton of information in this one book for social media marketing strategies, but it’s laid out in an easy to read fashion. You don’t need to read it front to back, you can quickly find and refer back to any chapter or sections relevant to your needs. The book was written by some amazing women from the Clever Girls Collective. I’ve worked with Clever Girls on blogging campaigns and social media campaigns. What makes me an influencer? I have a presence on social media. I have a loyal following on my blogs and my readers on all platforms that I’m engaged with have come to trust my opinion. It helps that I am honest and only share brands that I actually use and trust and I have made it known that I only support companies that care about their customers and our environment. My readers know this and my suggestions can have some sway in what products they might purchase when I share what products I like, what works for me, which ones solved a problem I was facing…
