How can I save money and live greener?
As a homeowner I’m not only constantly looking for ways to lower my bills, but I love when there are green options available for my home so I can do my part in caring for our environment.
I would love to have a living roof, such as the one found at the California Academy of Sciences San Francisco, and though I can’t currently do that, I can save money on my electric bill as well as use a natural source for energy to power my home.
What is more natural than the sun?
No power plant needed, just some solar panels and someone who knows how to get the things to work. You don’t even have to buy them, you can now rent solar panels.
Sunrun invented solar service, a way to get solar on your roof without the high upfront cost and hassle of ownership. You can quickly tell all your friends you are green living!
Watch this. I love it! And yes, I also eat kale regardless of solar energy.
Sunrun installs, insures, monitors and maintains a solar system that is designed specifically for you and your home. You just pay a low, locked-in rate for the electricity that the panels produce.
Isn’t solar power expensive to get started?
A common assumption is that solar always has a high upfront cost, and that’s usually true if the homeowner wants to own a system. With leased solar, homeowners can go solar with as little at $0 down. The homeowner still receives a monthly electricity bill that is lower than what they currently pay to the utility.
Electricity from Sunrun is more affordable than electricity from your utility.
Sunrun customers save an average of 20% on their electricity costs. Actual savings will vary. See http://clvr.li/1dwHGKc for details.
Solar power is increasingly more popular and for very good reasons. It works, it’s greener, and you’ll save money on utility bills.
Sunrun is giving away a Nest Learning Thermostat.
