It’s never too early to start reading to kids. Offer plenty of bright and bold story books to your toddlers to begin their curiosity about books and love of reading. Baby’s love to see smiling baby faces or the contrast of black and white and toddlers love to touch and feel. Board books are easy for little ones to hold and sturdy enough not to tear easily. Board books make perfect baby shower gifts, the best 1st birthday gifts or best 2nd birthday gifts, and great gifts for toddlers anytime. My kids often found them in their Easter basket or as Christmas stocking stuffers.
They still love to read their favorite board books, now that they can read them on their own. They read them to each other or to their stuffed animals or dolls. I love when they read them to me. It brings me back to when they were small. It’s important to have a good collection of board books, so here is a list of our favorites.
