Learn About India Childrens Books

February 7, 2018 by L. E. Mastilock Leave a Comment

Learn about India with inspiring children’s books. Learning about other cultures, places, and people around the world gives our kids an  appreciation of others and how people can live differently. It teaches kids that their own way of life is just one way to live in our big wide world and that there are many other ways. Add these kids books about India to your homeschool curriculum or supplement your geography, history, and social studies lessons. Create a India unit study or just enjoy these reads on their own with your kids. Included are some Indian folk tales and picture books as well as India ancient history. All fantastic books for kids to learn about India.

My family’s favorite is the last book listed, ‘The Mandala Book‘. It has beautiful, vivid nature photography of Mandalas found in Nature. My son was fascinated by this book and has checked it out from the library so many times, I really need to purchase it. He was inspired to look at patterns in nature and to create his own collection of Mandalas.
