A Fantastic Family Night Out

A Special Birthday – Family Night Out

I am a Feld Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, Feld Entertainment provided me with complimentary tickets.

Disney On Ice is a great family night destination.

My family has been going through tough times and we haven’t been able to get out to any special events or treat ourselves much this year. This night was my birthday and with the help of some wonderful friends and family and courtesy of Feld Entertainment for this opportunity to see the show itself, we had an amazing night and I couldn’t have wished for more!

We went out to a nice dinner on our way to the show. Rarely going out to eat truly makes it a special treat. The kids were amazingly behaved, even when we had to wait quite a while for our food. They noticed details around the dining room with delight. It was fantastic to relax and be away from every day stresses for the evening.

Simply arriving at the SAP center in San Jose was exciting!

The anticipation was building! We parked and headed for the entrance. The line moved quickly and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a balcony seat, though it was up higher, we had more room to move around and could still see the whole show.

We loaded up on popcorn and cotton candy, which came with a Pascal hat, from the Disney movie Tangled, or a purple Disney Princess crown. My daughter later enjoyed sticking the jewel stickers that came with it onto the crown to decorate it.

The show began and every second was enjoyable! We love Disney movies and have all the songs memorized, so sang along happily to all the music. The skating talent was amazing! We all especially loved when the Disney characters would fly through the air on the silk aerial fabric.

What my husband and I enjoyed most was watching the pure joy on our children’s faces. My daughter danced and danced.

My son just smiled, but I know he was having a great time, too. We all had a ball. And it was a ball, literally!

I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. All of our spirits were lifted. I guess there’s no better way for that to happen than to have the Happiest Place on Earth visiting your nearest ice rink. We loved everything about our night with Disney on Ice and hope to go again in the future.

Fantastic! My in-laws treated our family to Disney on Ice a couple of years ago for a Christmas present and we all had a good time. The kids still talked about it months later. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
    Happy Birthday!

We saw Tarzan on Ice years ago when my oldest was “into” Tarzan. It was a wonderful show. I think everything Disney does is stellar. It looks like you all had a wonderful and memorable time.

I got to go to Disney on Ice when I was a kid. It’s one of my fondest memories. You’re right it is a great family night out.

What a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday with your family! It sounds like your kids had an amazing experience. I love Disney but haven’t been to a Disney on Ice show yet—no doubt they do a wonderful job at entertaining!

I brought my daughter to Disney on Ice a few years ago and it was so memorable. We had a wonderful time. I’m waiting until my son is a little older (i.e. able to sit still a bit longer!) before we venture to another one!

I have never been to an ice show. But knowing Disney, everything they do is always fantastic. This looks like a fantastic show. I enjoy the balcony seats too. You can see better and have more room. Happy belated Birthday!

I have always loved ice skating shows. We have gone to several Disney on Ice shows and they never disappoint. I think one of my faves was the magic carpet that flew over the audience. Never will forget Beloved’s smiling face!
