Father’s Day is coming up quickly and, just like every year, we struggle to find something more meaningful than a new tie to honor him. My own husband is difficult to shop for Father’s Day gifts unless I fork out cash to buy a fancy new BBQ or upgrades for his precious truck. He would be thrilled with any of those, but for one, my wallet wouldn’t, and for another, those are not very personal. I’d love to get him something he could treasure and that reminds him of the joys of being a dad as well as how much I appreciate him for the wonderful father that he is for years to come.
A Meaningful Fathers Day Keepsake
I always look for something special, a unique Fathers Day gift that my husband would never have thought to buy himself, but that he will cherish. I haven’t always made his day, I’m afraid, but I usually do come up with something good eventually.
This post is sponsored by Silver Sculptor, but all opinions are my own.
When I heard about baby handprint keepsake and footprint keepsakes, I immediately knew it would be the perfect Fathers Day gift! I never want to forget, and I know my husband doesn’t either, the wonderful (and hectic, and unsure, and sleep deprived, and joyful) period of our lives when we had an infant who demanded we meet his, and later her, every need. (Don’t miss your chance to win handprint jewelry below!)
Joanne Simmons, owner of Silver Sculptor, is an amazing artist who creates beautiful hand made jewelry. One of her many talents is creating one of a kind keepsake jewelry for parents and grandparents all over the world to treasure. Her hand print jewelry and footprint jewelry keepsakes make for an unforgettable Father’s day gift! Personalized silver cufflinks, key chains, and golf accessories are some of the silver jewelry creations Dad will love!
“Handprint jewelry has been around for a while, but what sets me apart is the unique uses for the handprint jewelry. In addition to the necklaces and cufflinks, I also make keychains, golf ball markers, Alex and Ani styled bracelets and many more products and shapes.” artisan Joanne Simmons shared with me.
Baby handprint jewelry, a handprint necklace or handprint keychain would also make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift, new mom gifts or even the promise of one in the near future would make the best baby shower gift for mom-to-be. I remember the nurses taking infant handprints and infant footprints at the hospital when my baby’s were born, and I still have them, of course, but a hospital card is no comparison for beautiful jewelry you can keep with you. Maybe we’re just sentimental, but my hubby and I think carrying a keepsake of baby is so special and precious!
How does it work?
Each piece of jewelry is hand crafted in fine silver and many, such as the handprint cufflinks, can be personalized with your child’s name. Once you order, you will be sent a kit and easy to follow instructions for getting a good print of your child’s hand and foot. Every hand made jewelry piece is carefully crated and beautifully polished.
Your order comes wrapped in a quality velvet jewelry box inside a gift box complete with a ribbon. Included also is a polishing wipe and thoughtful thank you card. Joanne doesn’t skip any steps in providing her customers with the best quality from start to finish., including her packaging and shipping of your order. I was very impressed! In the day of fast and faster delivery, quality and customer service is hard to find.
