This weekend I had an amazing time at the Green Festival in San Francisco.
It was inspiring to see so many businesses and consumers filling up two warehouses at Fort Mason, all of whom care about our impact on our environment and are trying to make a difference.
There were tons of booths with exciting sustainable, eco-friendly products and services.
I had never heard of the Green Festival before. I was given tickets by a new start up company Schoola, who are also promoting sustainability through re-using kids clothes and education, much of their profit goes right back to schools. I blogged about them last week, here, and I got to meet one of their smiling crew at the event.
I met plenty more passionate people and found amazing products that I can’t wait to share here.
All natural baby products, up-cycled fashions and made with sustainable materials and through fair trade, organic foods, natural cleaning and beauty products, and more. Also, fantastic educational games and toys. I came away with some great finds which I’ll be sharing more details about soon.
All day today, I have been trying to organize the pamphlets, business cards, and samples I gathered there. As well as re-vamping my editorial calendar as I should be busy for the next few months. I will soon contact each company I met whom I was interested in promoting because I believe in their products and their mission. I want not only to be able to offer you these great earth friendly products, (hopefully even discounts and free giveaways, too) but to support companies who are environmentally conscious, most of whom are local, in and around the Bay Area.
I made some new friends and have a renewed sense of my own mission and direction for this blog, which is primarily to share about natural parenting, alternative education, and social good; as in to spread awareness of important causes, companies that give back and are helping the environment.
