Studying wars is not one of my favorite subjects. Ancient battles can hold appeal, such as Ancient Grecian battles, Knights in armor, or great conquerors such as Alexander the Great. They are so far removed from the type of wars waged today, they seem like fairy stories as we listen to them via our History Curriculum on Audio book. But, getting into modern times, especially modern wars, can be difficult to discuss. It’s hard for kids to understand why people fight each other and cause so much suffering. It’s hard for me to understand! These are some good books if you are studying certain modern times wars in your homeschooling or have a kid who is interested in learning more or the subject of war.
