Childrens Books That Inspire Music

by L. E. Mastilock 2 Comments

Music is has always been a big part of my life. Some of my happiest childhood memories are of my mom and I dancing around the house with the music cranked up or cuddling and drawing together with beautiful instrumental music playing softly in the background. Music can carry me away in the depths of it’s emotion more than words.

If you’re studying music in your homeschool curriculum or just want to inspire a deep love of music in the lives of your children, these are a few fun books for kids about music and historical musicians or that are written with a musical rhythm. The more rhythms , rhymes, and poems read, your children will grow their ear for musical rhythms. This is also great brain food for mathematical thinking! Inspire music, encourage learning an instrument, and your child may have an easier time with math concepts. Enjoy these reads together, music lovers.

I miss the days when the kids would freely play ou I miss the days when the kids would freely play outdoors. Rocks & streams, sticks & flowers, their toys of choice. They're older now and drawn and to technology. They still have a love of nature, but it takes a push to get them to go outside and their play is different now. How do you get your big kids or #teens outdoors?
