Monday Matters: Fight Hunger, Save the Rainforest, and More with Only a Click

May 28, 2018 by L. E. Mastilock 1 Comment

Welcome to Monday Matters. Spread awareness to help important causes and start your week off right by making a difference each Monday, even if that is just to pin, tweet, or share to pass this information on. Join the Monday Matters blog hop at the end of this post!

Click to Feed the Hungry

I’m sure you’ve heard of the site where you can click daily to fight hunger (there’s the badge, right there in my right hand side bar) or the one where you can click daily to send food to animal shelters. You may not remember the name, but they’re both part of the Greater Good.

Did you know there are other buttons at the top of that site you can click on daily, for free, without signing in or signing up for anything?

Just one simple click to help even more causes.

Here’s the list of causes you can click to give back through the Greater Good:

  •  fight hunger and poverty
  • fund mammograms for women in need
  • help animal shelters
  • help homeless and hungry veterans
  • fund therapy sessions for kids with autism
  • support diabetes research
  • provide books to children in need
  • save the rainforest

Plus, you can shop for a cause, choose one of the causes above and find great gifts at very reasonable prices; from clothing and housewares to jewelry, purses, and even toys, as well as fair trade. You can also find many more important causes and give directly if you’re able.

When I’m going to buy a gift for someone anyway, I love that I can help someone in need in the process!

I especially love the Go Green section on the Hunger Site Store. I want a ‘Be the Change’ leather bracelet!

And the Kids section on the Rainforest Site Store; I want these adorable Nepali handmade knit animals:

Okay, these are just ingenious. They’re gorgeous and have conductive fiber woven into the thumb and index finger so you can use your electronic devices without having to remove them! Touch screen gloves, also on the Hunger Site Store.

So keep the Greater Good in mind for your next shopping venture. Don’t forget Father’s Day and all those birthdays coming up or shop early and get your holiday shopping done while giving back!

Click to give every day. Sign up for their daily reminders if you need them.
