We went to the circus!

The lights, loud music, many people, smell of popcorn, yes we were definitely at the circus.

But this is the new circus? Was it just as wonderful? Just as awe inspiring?

Definitely! Even without elephants. We’re so thrilled Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey retired their elephant performers to a sanctuary. Did you know they began an elephant conservation center in 1995?

We love elephants!

We had a fantastic time at the show!

These clowns couldn’t wait for the show to begin.

I didn’t know what to expect. I had heard there would be a lot of new things.

I was thrilled to still get to enjoy one of my all time favorite parts of the circus. Can you feel the excitement?

Yes, I was glad there was plenty of good ol’ fashioned circus fun to bring me back to childhood, such as:

• clowns on unicycles

• acrobats

• Tigers and lions

• and so much more!

But, there was plenty of new, as well, that brought the thrills and excitement to a new level.

The theme for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey ‘Out of this World’ is outer space and there was a creative story line about lost circus performers that an evil queen had stolen for her own greatest circus. We followed along on an exciting mission across the galaxy to find them!

My absolute favorite parts were acrobats falling from orbs in the sky and later swinging through the top of the arena. And, especially the fire dancers! I didn’t include a video because I didn’t want to spoil the best part for you. You have to see it for yourself! 

This re-imagined Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey is still a fantastic show to see. It will leave you on the edge of your seat and believing in the impossible.
