Learning about the world can be such fun! I love to learn about different cultures, foods, way of life all over the world. As a geography unit study for homeschool curriculum, my kids will pick a place and we go to the library to get books about the place, the animals, the people there. We watch videos, read folk tales from that culture and, one of our favorites, cook foods that are common there. Geography is a big part of learning about the world, so of course we look at maps, a globe or an atlas.
Here are some books to help your kids learn about geography, how to read maps and how to find out where places are around our world.
