Tantrums, Troubles, and the Terrible Two’s

My sweet, easy going, baby girl, turned two one day.  On that very day, yes, the exact day of her second birthday, something happened to her. Maybe she was abducted by aliens and replaced with a clone. Or suffered a head injury we did not witness. I'll never know, but suddenly she had a new personality! Oh, she was still her smiling, … [Read more...]

The Girl in the Mirror {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 31}

Blog Every Day in May Challenge- Day 31 I DID IT! It's the last day of the challenge and I really did it!  It was a lot of fun! I connected with many new wonderful bloggers who were participating through our host at Story of My Life. The prompts were pretty personal and it was great to do some self reflection and reminiscing. I definitely … [Read more...]

The Highly Sensitive Gift {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 26}

Blog Every Day in May Challenge- Day 26 I read something online recently that has completely changed the way I look at myself! I wish I had found out about this years ago! I have always been extremely sensitive. I get over-stimulated easily then feel anxious and overwhelmed. Loud or continuous noises, too many sounds at once, such as the … [Read more...]

Admit it {Blog a Day in May- Day 24}

Blog Every Day in May- Day 24 Top 3 Worst Traits "What is your problem?! What are you talking about?! I'm fine!!" (Me) Husband, "Have you eaten anything?" "NO!!! What Does that have to do with anything?!" Have you seen those snicker's commercials, "You're not you when you're hungry"? That's me, only 10 times worse. 1. When I haven't … [Read more...]

My True Views Revealed and Lack of Confidence {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 20}

Blog Every Day in May Challenge- Day 20 Something I'm Struggling with Right Now   Running late here. I really had a hard time thinking up what I wanted to write on this one. Of course I have plenty of struggles, but nothing major and I'm generally happy in life right now, so can't complain.   I've literally been struggling with … [Read more...]

Talk about awkward! {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 3}

Day 3 of the Blog a Day in May Challenge   Things that give me the hebe-gebes, creepy- crawlies, wig me out, or just make me downright uncomfortable: Let me count the ways: Plenty of things give me anxiety, as I mentioned yesterday. There are the obvious ones, strangers, people staring, awkward silences, being in front … [Read more...]

I’m a failure when I’m not great at everything

I'm a Failure, Failure, Failure! That thought has been running through my mind for days. I finally gave in and broke down on Monday and just cried. I can't do it. I can't do any of it! If I just had one thing to do, I would be so great at it! If I was just a mom, even a homeschooling mom, I could be so great! If I was just an artist, and had … [Read more...]

Chasing kids for photos.. uh, I mean taking photos of my kids

My son has never been a fan of getting his picture taken. He usually hides if he knows you're trying to snap his pic; blocks his face with his hands or looks away quickly! I have to snap a quick candid shot before he knows what I'm up to, most of the time. Drives my grandmother crazy, who will spend an hour trying to get a perfect pose! I've been … [Read more...]

Evil little monster named Self Doubt

I had made a decision! I was sticking with it, no turning back. But in one afternoon self doubt came crashing down and I was suddenly filled with anxiety and back to square one! I don't like having things up in the air, if I have an important decision to make I will research obsessively, ask questions of anyone and everyone until I'm sure they try … [Read more...]
