Making Holiday Wreaths

I've been working on making holiday wreaths for some upcoming craft fairs (details to come). These wreath's are so simple to make I thought I'd share them with you. I found some wicker wreaths at Goodwill and removed the old decorations some of them had. As you can see, I had some help! Then wrapped them with pretty ribbon and hot glued some new … [Read more...]

Rio Bird Costume, Little Bo Peep, and her Darling Sheep!

I'm a little behind, but here are some pics of costumes I made for Halloween- This feathery dress, complete with wings, to resemble the girl bird in the Disney movie 'Rio'. I just safety pinned all the boas to a blue dress I made. And the hat was made by hot gluing feathers to a beanie ( I love hot glue!) & bending some black tag … [Read more...]

After a much longer sabbatical than expected, taking care of family, I'm finally back in action! I made Ren Faire Costumes for my family and they came out SO great, I will be making more & putting them on Etsy! Yes, my Etsy shop should be up and running again before the day is out! I know you're overcome with excitement, so take … [Read more...]

No Bunny Pics Yet

I know I said I'd post pictures of the stuffed animal bunnies I'm making. I've only completed two! But I haven't had time to take pics yet. There's no good lighting in my house! So it takes some extra planning for me to get a decent pic. I'm hoping to get at least one more made today and if the sun is still shining, I'll take them … [Read more...]

Cuddly Bunnies & Sandy Toes

I've been trying to decide what to make next to sell on my Etsy store...more baby hats? A few scarves, that season is almost past... well at least it is here, where it was sunny enough to go to the beach and get my toes all sandy today! I finally decided stuffed bunnies would be good since Easter is coming up. So, I'm working on some soft cuddly … [Read more...]

To Toss or Not to Toss? What to do with a Ripped Poster

My son ripped the corner of a poster that was on his wall in his Mickey Mouse themed bedroom while jumping on the bed, which he's not supposed to be doing! But instead of throwing it out, I had the idea to modpodge it onto a blank canvas. With my son's help, we centered the part we wanted to see on the canvas and cut around it wide enough to … [Read more...]

New Old Rocking Chair

My rocking chair squeaked so loudly it kept everyone awake, which defeats the whole purpose! But the other day I found a lonely one sitting outside a neighbor's house waiting for some TLC. Thank you generous neighbors! I LOVE freebies! I adopted it & freecycled my old one (if you're not familiar, www.freecycle.org is an awesome Yahoo … [Read more...]
