How to have #FinancialPeace Save and Get Out of Debt on a Small Budget

Tired of living paycheck to paycheck?  I am! I don't splurge much, but it is so hard to save. When I have a little extra I feel my family deserves a treat, such as dinner out or buying items we definitely need, but could live a little longer without. With my small paycheck, I didn't think I could afford to put anything in savings while trying … [Read more...]

Pet Care During Busy School Seasons

I just admitted on my pet blog that I have neglected my dog.  I am an avid animal lover and constantly promoting causes to make changes to help animals, so how can this be? It's an important topic and I wanted to share here as well. We've been so busy with school classes, field trips, work schedules, doctor appointments, etc, etc, that … [Read more...]

10 Steps to Independent Kids Bathroom Routine #LetsTalkBums

Parenting Through Paralyzing Stress and Anxiety

Head in a fog I sit down to write and my mind goes blank. I can't seem to even muster one good sentence to tweet, to post on FB, anything to let you know I'm still here, still sarcastic, witty, and sometimes informative. Still fun to connect with. I've worked hard to create an online presence, after all, what's the point of writing if … [Read more...]

How will you find the keys to success if you are constantly running away from … [Read more...]

Sticking with resolutions

Lots of hard work this month for everyone! But, our schedule has been working wonderfully! I have felt so much more relaxed! I'm working hard to keep my resolutions this year. And I don't usually make new year's resolutions; specifically so I don't have to feel like a failure for not keeping them! I think the most helpful changes have been: Less … [Read more...]

What am I doing?!

Since weeding some things out of our schedule, to allow for more down time at home, this week has been pretty mellow. We slept in, skipped some field trips, and the kids had time to relax, get bored, play with toys they've forgotten they had. I thought it would be great, that's just what I wanted, right?! We've been doing so many field trips and … [Read more...]

I miss the days when the kids would freely play ou I miss the days when the kids would freely play outdoors. Rocks & streams, sticks & flowers, their toys of choice. They're older now and drawn and to technology. They still have a love of nature, but it takes a push to get them to go outside and their play is different now. How do you get your big kids or #teens outdoors?
