Talk about awkward! {Blog a Day in May Challenge- Day 3}

Day 3 of the Blog a Day in May Challenge

Things that give me the hebe-gebes, creepy- crawlies, wig me out, or just make me downright uncomfortable:

Sandy Toes- Disturbing things that are downright uncomfortable!

Let me count the ways:

Plenty of things give me anxiety, as I mentioned
yesterday. There are the obvious ones, strangers, people staring, awkward
silences, being in front of an audience…

I could go on for days, so here are the ones that may just be
my own weirdness:

·
Nose whistling; sometimes happens a tiny bit
when I have a cold, but no matter what, I just can’t get it to stop!
·
Eye Twitching
·
Mysterious gooey substances on park benches or
picnic tables
·
When I can’t think of anything to say, I mean nothing
at all, so I stand there looking dumb
·
Kids scratching themselves in public
·
Kids I don’t know asking me to play with them at
the park
·
Kids asking questions I don’t know if their parents
want me answering honestly (I watch a lot of kids, so this list could also go
on for days. I’ll move on)
·
Yo Gabba Gabba. There is so much wrong with that
show, I don’t know where to start. I don’t allow my kids to watch things that
make me cringe.
·
Men with tight shorts (whoever invented biker
shorts should be put away).
·
Overly happy people! Such as with wide creepy
smiling eyes and fake smiles, where they show all their teeth and look like
they really want to eat you! They may talk in a high pitched tone that makes me
shudder!
·
Creepy old men ogling
·
Baby
talk, from a grown person to another grown person!
·
Hubby getting touchy feely in public. Sorry, but
I don’t like to see other people groping (there’s another for the list), so
save it till we’re alone!
·
Hubby talking really loud so everyone looks at
us! I’ve perfected being invisible, and he is the opposite!
·
Hubby telling his life story to the checker at
the store when a line of people are glaring at us, and the checker is obviously
just being nice and not genuinely interested. (I love him, but he loves to talk
and can be so oblivious!)
·
And last, but not least, psychotic, creepy
children in movies! They freak me out more than anything!!

I’m sure there are many more. And probably some stranger
ones, but that’s all I can think of at the moment.

What makes you shudder?

You know what bugs and crap out of me? Listening to people chew. When I am in the office, and can hear someone chewing or the sound of a fork against a plate, it drives me nuts.

Actually many sounds really bug me. Those commercials where with people cooking, or those Kitkat commercials. Those make me cringe.

LOL! That's a good one! That bugs me too! Also the smell of other people's food. I used to work in an office where a woman in the cubicle next me heated up eggs most mornings. Enough to make me gag! I don't mind eggs when I'm hungry and know I will be eating them, but they don't smell great otherwise! And it lingers for hours! bleck!

I miss the days when the kids would freely play ou I miss the days when the kids would freely play outdoors. Rocks & streams, sticks & flowers, their toys of choice. They're older now and drawn and to technology. They still have a love of nature, but it takes a push to get them to go outside and their play is different now. How do you get your big kids or #teens outdoors?
