One of our favorite homeschooling activities is working at the farm. We go to an organic working farm every month with a group of homeschoolers and work all parts of the farm from caring for animals like goats, cows, and chickens, to prepping soil, planting, all the way to harvesting and cooking the food grown. The kids get hands on learning about healthy foods, and all aspects of farming using science, math, and working outdoors together.
To accompany our farm class and expand our learning about the farm, I’ve compiled a list of farm books for kids preschool through elementary to add to your homeschool curriculum.
