Who Has the Best Up and Coming Blog?!

An Award! Oh, you love me! You really love me!!

Sandy Toes Creations: Liebster Award
Add caption

I’ve been given the Liebster Award

by fellow blogger, Cynthia, at The Sock Zone.

Thank you (bowing),

thank you!

It does feel awesome to get an award! You’ve totally made my day! My month, actually!

Okay, Okay, you gave me this back in May, but that blog a day challenge really kept me busy! So I’m just now getting this posted. Thank you for your patience!

About the award:

The Liebster award is given by bloggers to other up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.

What is a Liebster?
Liebster is a German word and means dearest or best.

I received one of these babies on my cat blog recently and spelled out the directions, so if you need them, hop over to the Very Best, Most Awesome Cat Blog Ever and scroll to the bottom of the post for the rules.

The rules have evolved a bit, but if you’re interested in the origins of this award, Sopphey Says has done some research for us!

On to Cynthia’s questions for me:

  • If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Oh so many choices! At this moment I would have to say Fiji. I just want to lay on a beautiful warm beach.
  • What’s your favorite color? Green, the color of nature!
  • What would be your perfect day? Everyone getting along! Okay, specifically, hiking in the woods with my little family on a warm sunny day and just enjoying each others company!
  • If you got to choose any job you wanted what would it be? The job I’m doing! Being a mom, writing, and art. Love that my work is my passion!
  • What was your favorite toy that you had as a child? Top of the list would be my Troll Dolls, My Little Ponies, and my Rainbow Bright Doll. It’s an 80’s thing.
  • If you became a star and you had to change your name what would it be? Rainbow Sunshine Star. Totally kidding! I’ve actually always liked my name, so wouldn’t change a thing.

  • What type of books do you like to read? Fantasy, Classics, and drama that sucks you in and makes you laugh and cry. I have all my favs listed right over there, on the left sidebar if you’re looking for some good reads.
  • If you had a chance to meet your favorite movie star, who would it be?( past or present) That’s a hard one. I don’t idolize movie stars, though they would still make me nervous to meet in person! I’d probably pee my pants and be unable to speak! One of my favorite actresses is Shirley MacLaine.I was bouncing off my seat when she came on Downton Abbie! I’m not a big TV watcher, but I love that show!

  • If you could be any animal what would you be?  A cat! What I wouldn’t give to lay around in the sun all day!
  • What was your favorite TV show growing up? Rainbow Bright (obviously), as well as the Smurfs, and Punky Brewster (I longed to be as confident as her!).
  • If you could change one thing in your life to make it better, what would it be? I wish I had some land. I would love to have room for a big garden, some chickens, and for my kids to run outside, play in the dirt, climb trees, build forts, and make noise!

  • I am now passing the honor of this award on to these fabulous blogs:

Violet Lulu Love her style! Where does she find those adorable old fashioned sun dresses? Love them!

Homeschooling Hearts and Minds I love her attitude. Family comes first! And you’ll find some great educational resources here.

Lost in Travels Gorgeous, inspiring photos and just tons of fun! Oh I want to travel!!

Unschooling Momma We have a similar take on education so I’m interested to hear more from her. And, she’s hosting a Blog Chain (like a hop) that has me intrigued as well as a Homeschool Carnival I may just have to enter the next time it’s scheduled!
Seasonal Eating (this list would not be complete without a food blog! Eating is one of my favorite things after all!) I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this blog before, but she has beautiful photos, simple, delicious recipes, with fresh ingredients.

Here are your questions should you choose to accept them:

    1.  What inspired you to begin blogging?
    2.  Why do you continue to blog or what do you gain from it?
    3.  What is your favorite food?
    4.  Favorite romantic spot?
    5.  Favorite book?
    6.  Why?
    7.  Favorite game to play with your kids or favorite childhood game?
    8.  Morning person or Night-Owl?
    9.  What is something you’ve done that you never thought you would do as a parent? Or, what’s something you would never do if you were a parent?
    10.  What’s the hardest thing you’ve had to accept about yourself?
    11.  Something that always makes you smile?
What’s one of your favorite blogs?

I am near the beach, but it's foggy and rainy. A tropical beach sounds SO good!
